The Town of Hudson's Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for overseeing 45 acres of developed and undeveloped open space, parks including Redwood Park, Redwood Park extension, Hickman Windmill Park, and Billboard Park,Depot Park, and Optimist Park.
Amenities include 2.5 miles of biking and walking trails extending from the Hudson Uptown Building to CCC&Ti; an outdoor Amphitheatre and stage; swimming pool that is open seasonally; Recreation Center; (2) Tennis Courts; outdoor sand Volleyball court; (2) outdoor Basketball courts; (3) covered Picnic shelters; numerous individual picnic sites; (3) baseball / softball fields, soccer fields, Disc Golf Course, (2) Optimist Park Ball Fields and more.
Park & Recreation professionals and volunteers host several community events each year and provide safe places for hundreds of children to go after school. Recreation employees and volunteers take great pride to enrich the lives of others through quality parks and programs, designed and developed so that people of all ages, abilities and income levels have the chance to participate in excellent recreation opportunities.
There is always something to see and do in the park, recreation facility or pool each and every day. You will find a program, an activity or a special place that brings you back again and again. We are just around the corner, we have something for everyone, and the benefits are endless.
